Welcome to San Francisco, Sing!

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Our infamous Alaskian, Sing, visited San Francisco for a short while and a few of us got to hang out with him! Yay!  We picked up Sing at SFO for dinner, and the guy was breaking out in sweats.  Apparently it was too warm in San Francisco for this guy!

We had dinner at Blue Restaurant on Castro St.  While waiting for our table, Sing asked these officers if they have ever beaten someone with the baton, and the officer said, “No, I have not beaten anyone with it, but I have used it.”  He did not look pleased, and he did not want to conversate with this Alaskian.  Welcome to San Francisco, Sing! Ha.

Afterwards we took Sing around . . . Twin Peaks . . . Lombard St . . . and North Beach.  At one point, Sing even hopped onto the cable car in front of Jonasty’s car.  What a daring individual he is!  And oh yeah, at Twin Peaks he hopped on the ledge and nearly fell to his death.  That is not daring; that was just plain stupidity, but he’s young.  At the prime age of 20, he’s unstoppable!

Now without further adieu, here are the pictures that captured our moments together:

Jonas and Mimi.

Jonas: Let me buy you a penis, Sing.

Sing: What!? You don’t have a bigger one!?

The Alaskian can’t hang.  He looks chilly!

And finally a group photo of us. :)

We miss you Sing!  Come back to the Bay to visit!

Bunchedup.tv Get-together Day2-Saturday

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

The Norcalers got invaded by the out of town bunchkins from bunchedup.tv Saturday too (not this Saturday, but last).
Saturday Saminnyc, Nick, Doug, Jonasapproved and I drove around San Francisco and did the whole sight-seeing tour. Many Santa Clauses were roaming the streets ready to get their drunk on; apparently it happens in the city this time of the year, but it was my first time seeing it! Very interesting indeedy.

I can’t recall everything we did that day since it happened two weekends ago (yes, my memory sucks ass), but we did stop by Chinatown to get some infamous egg tarts from Golden Gate Bakery. MmmMMmm, delicious as always!

Afterwards we got some 59 cents milk tea from Quickly’s. So cheap and so good, but too bad I was afraid to drink it all because milk tea makes me pee like a horse. Am I the only one? Perhaps I have a weak bladder!

Then we checked out Coit Tower; it got pretty chilly up there so we bounced after our short visit and because there wasn’t much to see. Boo.

So we stopped at Lombard Street; I don’t understand how people could live there, but wouldn’t it be awesome to tell your friends that you live on Lombard Street? lol. I can imagine it’d be difficult to throw a house party there eh?

Then we stopped by the Apple store and logged onto bunchedup.tv and streamed from there from various computers. That was somewhat amusing. Ha. We are such dorkos!

Afterwards we ate at Burma Superstar, and normally I really enjoy Burma, but crap . . . I was so full from all our treats! Argh. Still delicious though.

Then we walked off our calories at Union Square after we met up with Corliss and shortly thereafter, Jon. We killed a lot of time there taking random shots! Some are amusing. :)

Then we ended our night in the Castro where some bunchkins shared a penis cookie from Hot Cookies. MmmmM.

We bid our farewells to the New Yorkers, Doug and Sam, and to our LAer, Nick. So sad, but New York City is next in queue on my travels! Woot.

A whole lotta Santa Clauses!

Jonas and egg tarts! Yum.

Bunchedup.tv Get-together Day2Food-Saturday

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

I made sure everyone was well-fed throughout the day. Maybe they were a little too well-fed. The routine: drive around and if there’s a parking space (because parking is so hard to find on a Saturday afternoon) take it.

Nick, Saminnyc and Doug had lunch without us. WTH, right? So Jen and I grabbed food ourselves. They sure missed out! A true SF experience, eating at a popular hole-in-the-wall counter-seating restaurant.

Imperial Roll with meat sauce over rice. Yes, New Yorkers, that is what we (and the rest of the world) call an imperial roll.

We all finally met up. From this point on, you’ll start seeing everything in five. DO NOT be alarmed. You are not seeing quintuples. Our first treat together: mochi!
