There was no official Halloween party in the Castro this year. Security was heightened so much that it seemed like there were more cops than actual people in for the festivities. It was so empty compared to recent years – just look at the pictures below.
On the bright side, it was a very safe night, and by safe I mean non-violent. Hopefully everyone made it home okay from a night of debauchery.
If Halloween keeps up like this in San Francisco, I’ll most likely end up at West Hollywood’s Halloween party next year since Halloween will fall on a Friday, and maybe I’ll check out New York’s Halloween party in Greenwich Village the following year – I HAVE to check out the nation’s largest Halloween celebration sooner or later.
