Pip Visits Milpitas, California.

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

A few weeks ago, Pip and Andy came to visit Milpitas and Mimi and I had the honor of hanging out with them. We spent our evening at Quickly’s in McCarthy Ranch where the bubble tea was just not up to par; it tasted watered down, and they didn’t have boba! Ugh.

Afterwards we went to In n’ Out so Pip could experience his first cheeseburger and animal fries from our infamous Cali joint. He said Five Guys is much better! Pip was definitely on his vacay since he spiked his soda!

We ended the evening cruising around Milpitas and San Jose aimlessly!

NYC-Day3

We started off our day having brunch at a jazz spot called Garage. And then afterwards we hit up the Financial District/Wall Street/the bull and Bryant Park.

Afterwards, we went to Soho to do some damage to our credit cards! Fun fun. And then some of us went for some sushi for dinner, and we had our second dinner at a K-town. Yum! Two dinners! Ha. And after dinner, it was Pinkberry time! My first time having Pinkberry, and I love it!

And then we went to Little Branch, a petite jazz joint. Loved it. And then afterwards we went Kareoking and stayed out till 6am! Nuts! I was pooped!

I got a bit trigger happy so here we go . . .

NYC-Day 2

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

We woke up to a dreary, cold, rainy morning. Never-ending rain, that is. Bummer. And I had other plans for us too that required us being outside. Change of plans!

We started off our day with a heavy breakfast at Balthazar Restaurant. This was probably my first time spending a good $20-25 on breakfast, but it was well worth it! Delicious!

Afterwards, we attempted to tackle the rain, and frantically speed-walked from store to store near the area. We stopped by a cute museum store to dry off and mess around.

Then the girls and I headed to New Museum in Chelsea while the boys went to Chinatown to get their haircuts. I enjoyed the museum even though it was somewhat small, but Corliss got a good deal since she’s only 18-years-old (she got in for free). Ha.

After exploring the museum, we went to Rice to Riches; if you’ve seen Hitch, this little dessert place was featured in that film! It was when Eva Mendez was telling her friend about her first date with Hitch. The dessert was an experience since I’ve never had this before, and it’s very filling!!

Then we went to the American Museum of Natural History; most of us were so pooped so there’s a lot of sitting around, and in Jonas’ case . . . snoozing! This was where Night at the Museum was filmed starring Ben Stiller. Yes yes, it’s just an on-set experience for us. Ha.

We ended our evening having a bunchedup.tv meet-up which included dinner at Carmine’s and partying at Duvet and Stay.

NYC – Day 1

Jonas and I took the red-eye flight on Virgin America Wednesday to New York City. We arrived in the early AM, and walked to terminal 2 to locate Corliss; that merely took 40 minutes. What a trek that was!

Before picking up Nick, Regina took us to flushing where we enjoyed cheap Chinese food! Yum. Afterwards, we picked up Nick only to get more food in Chinatown. And then it was time to check into the Grand Hyatt Hotel, and Corliss, me, and Jennie rushed over to Xanga to meet up with John and company while the boys rested up at the hotel. We got ourselves some Xanga t-shirts courtesy of Xanga. Thanks!

After running a few errands, it was time to explore the city. Our first stop was the St. Patrick’s Cathedral followed by the Rockefellar Center. We stopped by Dean and Deluca for some beverages on the way back to the hotel.

We were pretty pooped so we slept till we had to rush off to Avenue Q while Doug waited for us. And then we met up with Sam for some good dinner! Yum. We attempted to “party”, but we were so pooped that we just called it a night around 2am.
