Okay Bunchkins! A few nights ago I talked about a BU Blockles tournament. Today, I make the official announcement! If we have enough players, we will be holding an East vs West type shootout.

When.
Date: Tuesday, May 6, 2008
Time: 7:30pm PST

The rules.

1. Players will be awarded points based on their placement in the game. (see below for points system)
2. Groups of 6 from each coast will play 5 rounds. Top 3 from each room (depending on number of players) will move forward.
3. We will have as many rooms required to fit everyone in.
4. Players may not be streaming during the tournament. (this might change)
5. Talk of ganging up on a player or any suggestion of a target player during revenge chat will cause you to forfeit your points for that round.
6. If there is a failure in the Blockles system (ie, you are unable to target the player because it shows them as already dead), the round will not count and be restarted. However, if you run into this problem but still win the round we will count it unless the problem was experienced by multiple players.

Points system.
Points will be awarded to players at the end of each round depending on their placement. The top 3 from each room will move forward and carry their points with them. Points are reset at the final round when East battles West.

Prizes.
A prize has yet to be determined but there  will either be 1 grand prize or smaller prizes for the top 3 scoring players.

Current Players.
Here is a list of people who have signed up for the Killament. Please let me know if I have missed your name, put you on the wrong coast, or if you are interested.

Players, please confirm that you are able to make the time and date specified. If required, we will run the tournament over multiple days to accomodate both coasts.

Using the West Coast as an example, here is how the tournament will play out. There will be 2 rooms to start. Players will be randomly assigned to these rooms. Top 3 from each room will move forward to play for the semi-finals. The final 3 players here will go on to play against the final 3 from the East coast.
