*cough cough hack hack!* i got myself a face mask so i wouldn’t contaminate the rest of the japanese population but somehow i think i got the wrong size. look at it! it covers like my whole face! hahaha! i should have gotten kid’s size instead LOL! i look ridiculous with that thing on.
since we started the day a bit late, we grabbed mickey d’s for lunch^^ haha! their menu selection is quite scarce. but i like how they set up their ordering system. they have the menu in front of you and you get to point the items you want to order. do they have that in the states? haha i don’t remember lol! and look at the decor/wallpaper behind me. hella swanky for mickey d’s!
after lunch we took the subway to akihabara aka electric town. akihabara is known for selling electronic items such as cell phones, computer items, digicams, game systems, etc etc. but what you also may not know is they also house these cafe type places with anime looking girls in cosplay outfit as waitresses (mostly for males to enjoy) and a 5 story sex shop! >=) each floor sold different items. 1st floor had cosplay costumes, 2nd floor had vibrators and other toys for females, 3rd floor had sex toys for men such as plastic vaginas and what nots hahaha! 4th floor had s&m bondage type items and 5th floor had porno dvds. talk about variety! i’ve never seen so many options housed in one location in my life! hahaha! i didn’t take any photos inside cause i didn’t want to get kicked out but what a trip it was! ^^
in electric town, there are also these game places that house claw machines, video games, and pachinko machines. pachinko is this type of japanese slot/pinball machine. quite popular it seems! but look at the claw machine prizes! so much more cuter than the ones in the US hehe!

well, this was day 3 of my japan adventure!
what will day 4 encompass?

I’ve eaten at the Hukilau located in San Jose Downtown’s J-town several times, and it’s just okay. Large portions, lots of meat or fish, but the dessert is delicious! The prices are reasonable too – $8-11 an entree. Not bad indeedy.
On special nights, they have live entertainment where groups jam to hawaiian beats!

my cousin is so silly. she’ll be heading to japan for her honeymoon with her now fiance (later husband) and she doesn’t have an itinerary yet! since i vacationed in japan with my bf for two weeks, she figured she could just use my itinerary. haha! so funny! i had to basically plan her vacation for her based on what i had done during my trip.
day 2 started off not so well
and it just went downhill for me as the day progressed. it was raining for one and i didn’t have an umbrella (versus the 80+ degree weather i had experienced when i got off the plane! so whacked!). and two, my cold and my eye both got worse so i had to go buy cough medicine and eye drops at the drug store. a tad bit difficult when one isn’t fluent in japanese and everything was written in japanese haha!
afterwards, we went out to explore the city. we ended up in nakameguro and decided to eat at this small trendy-ish japanese italian place. yummy! check out what i had for lunch!

Everytime I’m in the Union Square area, I have to stop by Teazme because their frost drinks and tea are just so delicious! I can’t get over it. They are ultra tasty; not too sweet either. Try any of the frost drinks and you definitely won’t get disappointed. The prices are average and there’s a large seating area (since it’s located in the food court) so you can chill there and people watch.
I definitely think this is better than Q-cup, Verde, Tapioca Express in the smoothie department so give it a try next time you’re in the San Francisco area and need break from the shopping and the crowds.
